Creative Writing: Faith

The Sacral Chakra

The first time I saw him I was upside down.  I hung from my knees Swinging on treeon an old apple tree, viewing the world like a possum. It happened suddenly, a kind of summer magic. He stepped into my upside-down picture, blinking wide at me. I studied him carefully: A wrong side-up boy of ten, with a curly lump of hair on his catawampus head.  “Hi” he said.  I shushed him with my finger pressed firm to my lips. “I’m talking to God.”

He climbed up the tree, tucked his knees behind the fat branch and swung backwards next to me. We stared at each other, bottoms-up, red faced, hair full of static and air. In silence we talked to God, our bellies exposed to the breeze. We dropped like cherry bombs when our heads swam too heavy.

He came the next day to the twisted apple tree, and hung upside- down next to me. All summer we swung, overturned, talking to God, never knowing each others’ lopsided prayers. I memorized the way his long nose twitched in the summer air – how his red hair lopped to the left and covered his scabby ear. He always fought gravity from pulling his shirt too far toward his head.

One summer day I swung alone, my stomach soaking in sunlight, whispering my wrong-side out prayers on the other side of gravity. Four days I passed without him, hanging from the apple tree, wishing he was next to me. On the fifth day he walked into my upside down prayer, one of his brown eyes circled in fading blue. He climbed the tree in silence. I watched him swing, smaller somehow, unsteady in the breeze.

Eyes closed in our space above the ground; he laced his fingers with old apple treemine. Hand in hand, we hovered away from the right-side up. He kept his eyes shut tight as he prayed, then looked to a merciless sun. A tear slid down his long nose and landed on a blade of yellow grass below.

Later that evening an autumn breeze chased away the sun, pushed aside the apple air, and colored the green leaves red.

I can see now how the wind moved us, why we needed the world on its head.

The last time I saw him I was up-side-down, hanging alone in his unanswered prayers.

Conscious Reads: Trust Your Vibes by Sonia Choquette

Book Reviews, Conscious Reads, Features

“The reason you listen to your vibes is to surrender control so that the Universe can step in and help you. God knows better than you know how to take action in most situations, so relax, get out of the way, and let it happen.”Sonia Choquette

I recently finished reading a book by gifted intuitive Sonia Choquette called “Trust Your Vibes, Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living.” This book is packed with 33 valuable tips and action steps on how to develop your intuition and live your life in a more conscious manner. The author takes you on a journey to learn what activities may be holding you back in developing your sixth sense, practices to overcome these blocks, and guidance on how to trust your instincts.

The beginning of the book offers a small quiz that the reader can take in order to evaluate how much they are already following their vibes. I found this to be helpful for me before reading further because I felt strongly that I was already allowing my intuition to help me through life, and this quiz was a conformation for me.

In the spiritual community we talk a lot about how important it is to take care of yourself, and your body. Eating clean foods, getting adequate sleep, grounding yourself and meditating are all essential, and the author covers these basic principles. She also discusses energy and how easy it is to tune into someone else’s consciously and unconsciously.

It is important to protect yourself and stay grounded in your own energy, especially when someone you are near is anxious or angry. A tip offered in the book states that if you do find yourself in this type of situation to block the energy from the other person by covering your solar plexus. You can do this by folding your arms across your belly. It occurred to me that this is something most of us do already and don’t even think about it. Children do this all the time. If they are not getting their way they cross their arms over their belly and pout. They are quite literally blocking the energy being sent in their direction!

The book also points out that art and writing are great tools to help develop your intuition. This is interesting: The author suggests writing down in a journal your intuitive hunches and “aha!” moments. This helps train your brain to be more aware of these occurrences. Once you begin doing this, you may notice the events may start happening more and more.

The truth is, spirit is always trying to guide you, it’s just that you may not have been getting the message! Art is also useful because it helps you “get out of your mind.”  When actively engaging in a creative activity you enjoy like painting, cooking or gardening it is easy to lose track of time and connect to your heart. When you connect with these spaces inside of you, it allows your soul to express itself. This helps develop your sixth sense and also brings you joy.

Whether you are just embarking on your spiritual path or have been practicing for a while, this book has information that is valuable for both seekers. This is equally a good resource if you are just looking for an interesting read that will help you develop your intuition. The tips in this book are useful, practical, and easy to implement into your daily life!

Happy Reading!

Training Camp for Christmas!

Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the marathon that is the holiday season.  It seems no matter what tradition you hail from, this is a busy time of year for all.  Shopping, cooking, cleaning, baking; the to-do lists get longer and longer even though we keep checking tasks off day after day.

When will the madness end?!

It won’t, the madness is self perpetuating and it is created in our minds.  We are the only ones holding the proverbial whip, beating the proverbial drum, forcing ourselves to do all of these crazy rituals.  On of the best ways to take notice of what’s going on is to take a step back and watch what’s going on.

To me the real purpose of the holiday season is to care for one another as we care for ourselves.  But how do we care for others if we don’t even care for ourselves?  Many have forgotten to do so or never knew how.  Self love is the first step to loving mankind and embodying the spirit of the holiday season.

  1. Focus:  Think good thoughts and have a positive focus.  If you don’t enjoy what is happening or what you are thinking then please feel free to do and think something else.  We need to do things that feel blissful in order to make others feel good.
  2. Sleep:  Nothing keeps us in the best of spirits like a good dose of galactic energy.  Sleeping, in whatever schedule works for you, is the second best way to gain this energy.  Allow others to sleep in, they need it and so do you!
  3. Meditation:  Quiet alone time, best spent on meditation is THE best way to get that juicy galactic energy!  This can include traditional meditation, yoga, meditation walks, moments of mindfulness and sacred movement.
  4. Eat Light Foods:  Light foods are anything that makes you feel satisfied without feeling heavy and lethargic afterwards.  These include but are not limited to: Fruits, vegetables, teas (hot and cold), vegan and vegetarian dishes, gluten free desserts and my personal go-to, juicing!

Which brings me to the main focus here: Juicing.  It is my personal opinion that juicing not only keeps your body in excellent conditions for all of those must do tasks, it also keeps your emotional state sky high.  What better way to enjoy every possible moment and keep yourself in high spirits during the holiday season than to fuel yourself properly and feel your best?  To me, this is the best possible way to help others:  Get yourself so jacked up on good vibes others can’t help but be inspired to do the same.

But, BUT!  If you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, even if it’s the best thing in the world for you, you’re not going to keep doing it.  Plain and simple, make juicing as fun as it possibly can be.  If you’re using a juicer from the last decade or a poorly put together product that spews juice all over the counter and really doesn’t DO what its supposed to then you’re not going to have an enjoyable experience.  If the darn thing is so hard to clean that even taking it out of the cupboard brings on a small panic attack then you’re not going to use it and therefore you won’t get the benefits.

  1. Keep the juicer on the counter if at all possible.  The more convenient the process the more you will be inspired to juice.
  2. Fill the sink with soapy water and put your produce in for a little soak.  It’s a good idea to wash the produce properly even if it is organic, shipping is a dirty business.
  3. Wash, rinse and cut up your produce as needed.  Have everything ready to go when you begin the juicing process.  Juice:  Giggling, laughing and snorting are a plus during this part, have fun with it.
  4. Do Not Juice Bananas!  If you want bananas in there, put them and the finished juice in a blender and whip it up.  I add stevia to almost all of my juices, I have a sweet tooth.  Pour the juice into a pretty cup and stash any excess in the fridge although it is best to enjoy right away or share with friends.
  5. Remove all parts of the juicer/blender , rinse and place in the sink of soapy water and WALK AWAY!  Go enjoy the fruits of your labor before you clean up.

Play some music or a video you have been wanting to listen to in the background.  Again, we are trying for the most enjoyable experience possible.  The last step is actually the most important part as far as I’m concerned.

The dishes will be there when you’re done, they really will.

When you enjoy your juice before clean up you are literally rewiring your brain.  “Healthy stuff is easy!”  That’s what your telling yourself.  “I can do all that clean up stuff later!”  I swear, unless you live with your parents like I do, you’re mother is not going to storm in your front door and make you wash all your dishes right away.  And if she does, SO WHAT!

As my father so succinctly pointed out the other day, “Thanksgiving is just training camp for Christmas.”  Enjoy life, enjoy the holidays, and most of all enjoy yourself.  Namaste.

EmBody Bliss: Release

Body Work, EmBody Bliss, The Solar Plexus Chakra

Right now is a time of climax; for every moment is, as it offers its fullness. Release comes when you’re willing to be taken in by that very fullness. As we commit to release, we may pass pain, but as we surface out the other side we recognize that release was the climax of alignment. Our Source stream is no longer being blocked or finely funneled and energy rushes in fully. Finally.

By Neville Dsouza (nevs28 on deviantART)

A few weeks ago, I learned a valuable lesson as I boarded a bus. I sat down across the isle from a young girl and opened up a book to read on my travels. On the next stop, an unkempt man boarded. As the bus continued, I noticed that I could not focus on what I was reading and started to feel nauseous. I typically do feel dizzy when I read and ride in a vehicle simultaneously, however, once I had decided to put away my book, I still felt an intense energy adding to my nausea. It was intense enough to make me question my surroundings.

Becoming very empathic, I picked up on the chaotic vibrations around me. The energy swirled until I became a bit worried about vomiting. I then noticed that I was trying to block out the energy around me, which was intensifying my condition. Knowing that anything I resist will persist, I decided to face the situation with acceptance. Better yet, approve of it. I let myself inhale and understand the energy that I was sharing with these people and then let it flow out my feet.

I envisioned myself as a circuit where energy goes to renew, rather than a stubborn brick wall separate from the situation, where energy goes to die. I surrendered fully to what was happening, with trust that health was still mine. Nearly three minutes after, the Universe orchestrated with detail, everything I needed to no longer share the space with those energies that were adding to my nausea.

With this, came an acute understanding that endless energy flows in and out of us always, and to remain in resistance is to block the flow of renewed energy that is available to us. As one big organism, we’d all ideally know any energy as something we’ve created and approve of it—no matter the lack or mask in which it’s disguised. Release is experienced upon that fearless foundation of allowing.

Just as one aspect of alignment within us cannot leave another unchanged, it is important to take notice of the simple forms of release we have such as; a sneeze, a yawn, a cough, deep breath, a burp, an orgasm, etc. These little blessings enable your body to rid itself of old energies and open to the new, giving your muscles and the entirety of your body new life.

Let’s address what we’ve discovered in our last “Muscle Listening Meditation” more closely…

Like channels always being pulled towards Source but sometimes slightly off-kilter, we walk a thin, wobbly platform above the sea of Source, extremely susceptible to falling into its ecstasy. What does the water underneath you convey? How easily do you see yourself falling into its nourishment? Do you even recognize its nourishment? What would tear you from your seemingly safe platform? What would you like to release? What were the answers you received from your eager body in our last visit?

Once you have received the answers and recognize the root of your physical tension, come up with a statement that reflects its essence (i.e. I am not loved). Then take a look at it with utmost care and ask yourself how this belief may have been conceived of in the first place and if you truly believe it. Spend some time exploring it.

At that point, find the antithesis of it. This is when embracing the severity of your issue becomes beautiful because the greater your pain, the greater your antithesis.

Is your antithesis to feel completely carefree and trusting? Is it to experience greater abundance in your life? Is it to follow your deepest heart and dreams? Is it to be as easy and flexible as nature? Is it to know of unconditional love?

Whatever it is, we want to start working our way into alignment with it, that is to say, match our frequency to it. When any desire in you is born, a pathway is paved. This pathway delightfully waits for you to step foot into its vortex. Put your first foot forward by writing down every way in which you already feel, know, or live this antithesis. Do this every day. The more you focus on the ways that you already have your antithesis, you will be gifted more evidence of it. Soon enough, your issue will no longer be fed by your thoughts and you will both be stepping off of the platform into Universal nourishment, in a state of blissful release.

Happy trusting your body, mind, and heart!

Unknown Destinations of Bliss

Life’s little, or sometimes big lessons, can be found everywhere.  I have been told many times every moment of every day is a lesson from the universe; someone holding the door, a half eaten muffin falling over, or occurrences in traffic can and are all vital spiritual lessons to be learned.

Have you ever noticed when driving along, if you see something interesting and look at it even for a split second, you start to drive in that direction without even meaning to?  Its just a natural reaction to go in the direction you are looking to, whether it be driving or what direction you are traveling with life.

Focus, Intention, and drive propel us forward to seemingly unknown destinations, even though we were looking there the whole time.

The destination only seems unknown if we are blinded by busyness or other distractions.  Constant tasks can make it seem like we are perpetually moving forward and accomplishing things but in all reality it’s the bike tire stuck in the mud scenario; a lot of effort is being exerted without any real progress.

Some call it the rat race, I call it the unobtainable goal.  Most of us are taught from childhood on, that life is about being productive and this is where our worth is derived.  A hard but vital lesson is learned through this teaching;  many are inherently unfulfilled by this dogma.

We spend a huge portions of our lives, some all of their lives, running in circles searching for this unreachable goal that will supposedly complete everything and make life wonderful.

“If I could only do or have this ________, I will finally be happy!”  If you happen to be lucky, or smart you realize the flaw in this thinking before it’s too late.

This is possibly western culture’s biggest hang up.  We place so much value on seeking happiness from outside sources due to our shame based culture.  Parents are taught by their parents and pass down to their children the idea that if we resist all those things we don’t like and don’t want to become, we will be able to escape them and have a wonderful life.

It is my personal experience along with many others that the opposite is in fact true.  That which we resist draws our focus and like the car, we will start to head in that direction.  This all being said, it stands to reason we can come up with the assumption if one wishes to achieve some goal or state of being, we should look in the direction we wish to travel.

Let go of shame, do what feels inherently blissful and follow that feeling wherever it leads.  Heading off into the mysteries of the universe is terrifying at times, and the exhilaration of that experience will drive us into worlds of satisfaction we never even knew existed and if at all possible, leave a trail of bread crumbs for your fellow beings.  They may just choose to join you.   Namaste.

This retreat will facilitate access to your inner dimensions, as well as to the other dimensions (specifically, Elven ones) through writing. Below, see what Amanda received regarding this retreat and what it will hold…

To connect with the Elves of winter is to connect with all that sleeps within you. Deep in the caverns of your heart, is a rare and ancient magic – a magic that knows its connection to all things. To awaken in winter is to shed all that is inessential, and reveal that which has been lost. To connect to the magic within you is to connect to a realm where beauty is restored to its proper balance and sleeping desires are awakened and restored. These are the desires and intentions you set forth before entering into this dimension – as you understood this time (this year) would be a time for old programs to be shed, ancient magic to be awakened, and new magic to be learned.

To connect to the Elves of Winter is to fully restore your imagination. Imagination is the true work of the magician. And magic is bliss. Magic is the creation of your world. The particular magic that you will perform together will usher in a specific geometric portal to other realms of existence. Can you feel the power behind that intention? You were meant to come together for this reason.

For this class we want you to relax. We will show up and deliver all that is needed. You, as you have been, need only to remain open to our prompting/words. There is much balance here, and as the restoration and rebirth of the planet itself is unfolding, so is the realm we reside, and therefore, your realm. We are connected in an integral way.

To teach certain individuals to connect to this realm is to open up the portals of their hearts for the out-pouring of the new World. You will see this happen in the class – you will feel the momentum of the space you provide, and the immensity of the dimension that is poured within it. Show up. Show up. This is all that needs occur.

The hearts that are meant to be there will come. We have already called you, assembled the group that will best hold the space for our beauty and bliss to come forth within your hearts. Those of you who are called already hold this knowledge within you from similar work you have done in other dimensions and on other planets, but nothing quite like the birthing that is taking place on this planet has ever been done before, so new information will come.

As you can see and feel, this birthing cannot take place without the full reconciliation of your heart to Source. The heart is central, and it must take its central place at this retreat. It is essential for the heart to be restored, opened, and channeled into your dimension to help usher in all that is new and full of Light. At this retreat, you will all be pulling “down” (so to speak) a piece of your own Divine heaven, and as you each move your sacred patterns of dimensional work into the3D space you occupy.

You will get a taste of what the new Earth is you are creating.

As you know, everything that is occurring in our realm is future tense for you. Everything in the 3D ream is past tense – the physical manifestations you are currently experiencing have already formed and manifested in this realm long ago. That is why connecting to our realm is so powerful – it is the realm of thought forms, the realm of “pre existence potential.” In this Elven retreat, you will all experience this lapse in time. To enter our realm (especially in winter) is to exit the time/space as you know it.

This movement will be natural, and the space you, Amanda, hold during the retreat, along with Charis’s knowledge of pivotal time movement and dimensional overlap, will create a vortex of creation for all of your to enter into. This will truly be a pathway to your bliss.

The winter Elves bring forth all the knowledge of our world that sleeps. It is the paving for Spring – what sleeps in winter is reborn in Spring. The winter Elves oversee the death – the passing from one life to another (which is precisely the process your realm is moving through – the birth of the new). What occurs in winter is essential, and this year, 2012, is unprecedented in what it will unfold – especially in our realm. Many Elves are assisting in this transition, which is why we have called you together. This is the realm of your future, and much will occur during this particular winter solstice.

What you are creating in this gathering is beyond what you can now conceptualize, but the dimension (and specific geometric patterns for creating a space for us) will be revealed to both of you in time for the gathering. You will channel writing meditations that will literally create portals in the awareness of all who attend, and Charis will weave together a space that is capable of holding these powerful dimensions together. By allowing these dimensional shifts to restore you hearts, your imaginations will be set forth to do what they are designed to do: Create your world.

One of the mainstays of this retreat… Chocolate!

Ever since humans first discovered the unique properties of the cacao bean, it has been revered as a precious mind-altering (not to mention delicious) substance that holds incredible health benefits as well as mind-expanding properties. Raw cacao, where the beans are dried, rather than cocoa, where the beans are roasted, maintains superfood status and will be used exclusively in the chocolate ceremonies we will do at this Bliss Out retreat.

Several times during the day, we will mix up a fresh batch of hot, raw cacao made with organic honey and coconut or almond milk. It will be creamy, delicious, and exhilarating. The physical and spiritual properties of the cacao, along with the intentions we will put into the drink, will serve to connect us more fully to the elemental kingdom (if you’ve ever done any research on elves and fairies, then you know that they love chocolate. Charis has it under good advisement that our off-planet kindreds are big fans of chocolate as well!)

Here is some information Amanda channeled from her Elven guides regarding the use of raw chocolate at this retreat:

“The movement of cacao through the body stimulates mind, body, and soul. It is a trinity of movement, and a lost, ancient secret of healing. Not many alive on earth now understand or practice the ancient wisdom and healing properties of cacao.

The use of this gentle stimulant at your retreat will work two-fold: First, it taps the outer layers of resistance – the layer most people create around their heart (and deepest desires) to protect them from disappointment, sadness, and the seemingly unpredictable world.

To remove this first film is to remove the illusion of separateness from desire – it is to remind the bearer of the heart that they are still very much Alive and their desires are not gone, but only sleeping. Desire, if not controlled, can run rampant. Much is to be understood about its power. It is not the enemy, but in fact, the secret to your destiny.

To use this ancient ceremony one must understand the ache of desire – the healer (and facilitator) must learn to move with the flow of what desire is, where it brings the desirer, and how to direct it on its proper course…the course and journey of the heart.

Desire is the key to healing the heart.

It is not the enemy, it is the companion. It is the fuel that is necessary to move the energy body through life – desires drives the expansion of the Universe.

Desire is to to always accompany the heart. To awaken desire, one must always attend to the heart. The heart must be restored, fully healed. Alive.

If you are to embark on a journey of awaking bliss, cacao can be one of your greatest tools.

The Elves understand much about this sacred bean – we have assisted the ancients in the discovery of its power. You hold this knowledge. You need only remember. The power of the cacao bean is not currently understood in your time. You will unlock this.

To reveal desire is to handle fire and only the most grounded and present healers should embark on a journey into its powers. You need each other to fully handle this magic. If you choose to use it, you will act as anchors for the ceremony, and anchors for each other. You will find, as you continue down this path of healing together (of restoring the heart and recovering Bliss), it is your energetic combination that will be the most powerful in the release.

Activate Your Higher Self with Essential Oils

Aromatherapy, Charmed Botanicals, Columns, The Crown Chakra

“You are here to realize your inner divinity and manifest your innate enlightenment.” Morihei Ueshiba

We ask for guidance everyday, whether it’s mundane or mystical. We
are all seeking for deeper, meaningful wisdom of the unknown. Many of us question our purpose in life and our connection with the universe. By activating our higher self (authentic self) we can begin to unlock the answers we seek and gain enlightenment beyond our wildest dreams.

There are many types of “tools” that help guide us to a deeper awareness of our higher consciousness. Essential oils are one, of many, that can facilitate activation of our higher selves. When experienced first hand one realizes the magical mysticism essential oils possess. They are much more than a beautiful scent. Essential oils are powerful gifts meant to be cherished. They bring peace, love and light everywhere they are sensed. These incredible earth essences elevate and enlighten one’s consciousness to Gaia’s mystical energies. Each one is a precious guide to a deeper awareness of life, energy and spirituality.

Activating Blend:
½ oz any organic carrier oil
8 drops of Lavender
6 drops of Sandalwood
3 drops of Rosewood
3 drops of Frankincense

How to use:

Please always honor and thank all essential oil devas deeply for the guidance you’re about to receive. Set intentions and expectations, let the oils know what you need and they will answer. Finally, anoint oil to the areas that feel right to you. When I use a meditation blend I like to focus applying the oil to my crown and brow chakra. Make sure to breath in the oils deeply, holding the aroma in your lungs for a few seconds to fully activate their magic. Please enjoy and know, “somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.” — Carl Sagan

This blend was formulated specifically for beginners. Essential oils can be overwhelming to a new user. So naturally the oils I chose for this activation blend are gentle and subtle. The synergy of these oils is pure magic. They will lovingly nudge you into a state of full consciousness without completely surrendering yourself to the universe and all its mysteries (for advanced users).

This blend will gently embrace you in a place of stillness, openness, oneness and prepare you in activating your higher self. Once you have acclimated yourself to the powerful magic of essential oils I encourage you to seek out a Certified Aromatherapist to help guide you with custom blends that will speak to you and compliment your unique self.

Tuesday’s Tasty Treats: Kale Crisps

Recipes, The Root Chakra, Tuesday's Tasty Treats

Kale Crisps

These are my favorite savory snack ever! And they’re made from Kale. Kale is super good for you, loaded with vitamins, minerals and my favorite green superfood.

Even better, these cheesy garlic kale crisps/chips are the perfect replacement for potato chips, because they taste naughty and they are especially good for you. Kids love them too!

  • Bunch of Kale
  • Cup of cashews
  • 4 tbsp of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp of sea salt
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • ¼ cup of water.
  • ½ tsp of turmeric (optional)

Blend all of the ingredients together, until creamy. Put kale into a large bowl and pour on the mixture, massage gently into kale until covered.

Place the kale onto dehydrator sheets, pop into the dehydrator at 105 F for 10-12 hrs until crunchy.

(If you don’t have a dehydrator you could put them in your oven on the very lowest setting.. and keep a close eye on them until they are crisp )

Meditation Monday: It’s all about The Shift

Meditation, Meditation Monday, The Third Eye Chakra

The results are in.

Meditation is not simply a way to relax; science now confirms that those who meditate shift their brain activity to different areas of the cortex.  This shift activity decreases the negative effects of stress, anxiety, and mild depression. Aside from psychological soothing, many seasoned meditators claim meditation opens them up to the multi-dimensional aspects of their nature. It helps them see beyond the 3D illusion and into a space of limitless possibility.

Meditation is a great tool for manifesting. When you relax the mind and open up to All that Is, you realize the perfection of the moment. You begin to understand that all things and all possibilities exist simultaneously and therefore shifting the psychical reality is merely a matter of shifting focus.

The Shift, indeed.

Most importantly, meditation gives you the opportunity to tune-into your Spirit. There is much to learn from observing your thoughts and emotions and truly listen to the Voice of Source within you. Source (or God) does not exist somewhere “out there.” There is no “out there,” because, even as science is confirming, everything is connected. There is no separation. The external world around you is merely a reflection of your own heart.

When you meditate, you give yourself the experience of tuning your conscious mind to Source perspective and when you connect to Source, your perception changes.

For those would-be meditators who simply have a hard time finding the silence between thoughts, there are MANY tools to help you along your meditation journey. In my experience I’ve found guided meditation to be the single most effective tool in helping shift my focus and calm the “monkey mind.” Having something to focus on (especially a vision that brings me peace or beauty, or even activation for my creativity) puts me into a visionary state that always seems to shift my manifestation energy and help me tune-into the Divine presence of God within me.

The second most useful meditation tool to assit me in my meditation journey is binaural beats.

The internet literally has thousands of tools and resources to help assist you in your meditation. Here are some I have found incredibly useful:

Guided Meditation for fulfilling your heart’s desire:

Guided Meditation for Healing:

Guided Meditation for Relaxation (short) with Deepak Chopra:

Here is a taste of Binaural Beats:

If humanity could learn to look within and shift our focus from the problems to the solutions, from blame to personal responsibility, and from the illusion around us to the Truth within, the world we have each individually (and collectively) created through our thoughts would begin to dramatically Shift.

For as Jesus said, the Kingdom of God is within us. You will not find it by looking outside of yourself. Only through connecting to the Source within will you ever truly find Paradise.

Happy Meditating, everyone!

The Saturday Post: Inspiration in the Uninspired

The Saturday Post

Everyday life can be one of the most wonderful experiences known to humanity; the warm feeling of water over your hands while doing the dishes, the intoxicating smell of coffee or tea in the morning, the delightful sound of children laughing while playing.  Or, depending on our focus, these seemingly wonderful experiences can drive us crazy with negative input, past memories replaying and anxiety of the future.

How do we gauge ourselves, our perception of the world as a whole?  The process is actually very simple;  sit somewhere, anywhere you feel like and close your eyes, listen to the world around you as it takes place.  Do not judge any of your thoughts, let them stream in unobstructed by filters and observe what your focus lies on.

Do the sounds annoy you, are you amused, do you not think of anything, are you just observing?  Use your feelings to discern whether the experience is being registered as positive or negative.  The same process can also be used in a walking form, with your eyes open this time.  Take a short walk or bring little fluffy outside and observe where your focus lies.  Observe how feelings can actually direct your actions, deciding which side of the street you walk on, what direction you go and if you enjoy yourself or not.

Once we identify what we are focusing on the next step is to figure out why those particular emotions are aroused.  What has happened in the past to evoke these feelings, good or bad?  Are we living in the past, the future?  It may help to treat this as a writing exercise and record all of your thoughts for later reflection.

I will use myself as an example, as I am all I really know.  At the present moment I am at a coffee shop.  As I observe the room around me, there is a large orb like sculpture set upon a stand.  It has broken pieces of pottery glued all over it in a decorative pattern.  I am reminded of my grandmother’s garden; she is also very crafty and has many items such as this decorating her urban space, some of which we created together when I was a child.

This memory evokes a plethora of emotions in me.  I am happy and filled with wonder while we create pretty things together.  Shame and sadness are peppered in as I broke some of her ornaments on accident years later.  The choice is mine as to which memory takes center stage and which one fades into the background.  My focus on the present as well as the past drives how my experience plays out now.

Free will is the name of the game here.  There are so many in the world, some of which I observe on a daily basis, that allow themselves to be downtrodden by events of the past or the future.  This really is very unnecessary and a bit saddening to witness.  Our focus drives our emotions, there is NO outside force that makes any of us feel the way we do.  If we are uninspired it is because we are not looking for inspiration.  Life itself is an inspiration, every moment in this dense reality is a sheer miracle.  Then odds of anything happening at all are usually against us, until we focus, try and create the moments we desire.

It is my most sincere wish that the rest of the world wakes up to their proverbial prison being created by their minds and takes the opportunity to enjoy life and rejoice in the moment, in every moment.  Go in peace, Namaste.

EmBody Bliss: Listening to your body

Body Work, EmBody Bliss

When we speak of spirituality, we seek alignment with the higher self. When we speak of the bones, muscles, and systems in the body, we also seek alignment within the physical structure.

Alignment is the byproduct of non-resistance to your nature or Source perspective. When your deepest nature is well being—and it is—your body cannot escape the innate pull towards it. We may all find alignment towards certain things easier than others and some areas of alignment may feel less important to us. But since our spirits sit in a physical body, I would be hard pressed to find anyone who didn’t want to experience physical bliss.

As we incrementally inch our way towards alignment, everything else must match it (just as the Law of Attraction has taught us). The most exciting news about alignment is that one aspect of it within us cannot leave another unchanged.

Every fiber of you is living out an experience of it’s own. As you shape your Universe and body structure via thought, you are simultaneously shaping the Universe your cells live in. Once you realize that you and your body are creating together, it’s hard not to start treating your cells like little friends.

When we see ourselves as indivisible from our smallest particle, we can feel ourselves as indivisible from even the subatomic level of all particles.

Just as our emotions are the compass expressing to us where we stand relative to health, happiness, and the higher self, the body is also a teacher that expresses to us the same thing — just in a more physical manner.

The source of all weakness, pain, or disease in the body starts with emotional, mental, and spiritual misalignment. When we realize that those densities are dying to speak and will tell us everything we need to know, our goal shifts into tuning into it’s awareness.

As the body shifts out of suppression and into its awareness it can really set us free. When we offer attention to the body, it responds just like a friend would, for it is seeking alignment in every moment. When we believe that our bodies are on our side, the potential to heal becomes much more powerful.

With that being said, the first step towards a blissful body starts with listening. Listening not with the ear but with the intangible, gentle, and trusting part of yourself that you are deeply connected to—the Soul. This part of you exists beyond space and time in the field of pure consciousness, together with and as the Universe, breathing and creating. This part of yourself understands well being as your nature.

By actively listening to our bodies without judgment and the illusion of illness, we offer our bodies an ample amount of energy. That pure, present, and positively focused energy is energy intended to heal. Let’s start listening!

Muscle Listening Meditation:

1. Lay down in the most comfortable, easy position you can put yourself in. Meditations are great to do in nature but I feel that this mediation should be done in a place that feels very safe and second nature to you. So where ever that is, go there.

2. Start by taking a few deep breaths and keep breathing until you’ve found that you’ve caught on to a natural rhythm; breathing effortlessly and calmly. Find a pace of breath that you feel confident in keeping for the remainder of the meditation.

3. Once you’ve found this cozy breathing pattern, take your focus off of your breath and direct your focus deep into your body. Let your intuition take you to whichever body part needs attention. You can do this to the full body or just wherever is needed. You can start in whichever pattern you want such as; feet to head, vice versa, or completely random.

4. Unlike other meditations, directing your focus to each body part and relaxing each space after another is not necessarily what we are initially going for here. What I want you to do is greet each body part exactly as it is (the release will come later). You’re body has it’s own consciousness. Take a moment and actually meet that body part…greet it, enter it, entrain with it, and direct your consciousness off of your whole body and feel what it’s like to be that part only.

5. If you decide to greet your whole body and find spots that feel great, thank them kindly, but I want you to get really intimate with the spots of tension. What do they look, sound, and feel like? The more you entrain with these dense body parts you will feel a certain emotion radiating from them. The emotion, feeling, or vibe you get from them is a good indicator of what is causing the tension. (For example, my neck and shoulder pain feel the need to control or worry and my back tension reflects to me self-doubt).

6. After you’ve pinned the issues in your body, I want you to talk with them and ease their pain like a worried child, in whichever way that may look for you (as we all have different ways of being calmed, coping, or feeling loved).

7. I also want you to do some energy work on these areas. Imagine pulling in Universal energy straight into your “issue tissues”. You can gather this energy through your crown, your feet, or simply from the air surrounding you. In my experience, energy works more affectively when you’re channeling it through your body and also gathering it from outside yourself. Imagine the energy lacing every cell and muscle fiber with an emotion, visual, or color that feels good to you. Let it cleanse the area. The most important thing about this step is to not look at this area as if it is broken; focus on it with all the positivity and love that you can. Do not be surprised if you feel jolts, tingling, increased pain, referred pain somewhere else in the body, or anything else interesting!

8. Once you’ve given your problematic areas ample amount of energy, fade into whole body awareness and start imagining your whole body as if it a safe haven of paradise. Imagine the inside of you as the most gorgeous landscape you can imagine. Revel in the beautiful sounds, feelings, and colors. Let it take you away!

9. Feel the appreciation that your body has for giving it attention. Take the messages that the density showed you and integrate it in your life. Continuing to think the same thoughts will reveal the same issues over and over. Improving those hang-ups will improve your body bliss!

If this meditation doesn’t work for you, this is also a fantastic way for body-mind release.
